Practicing in collaboration with Dr. Allin (Fenelon) and Dr. Dafore, Dr. Petrosoniak and Dr. Young (Lindsay).
Patti provides care to patients at the Fenelon Medical Centre. Patti has extensive clinical experience in general medicine and has worked in home care. Before coming to practice in Fenelon, Patti worked in community health care and at Sunnybrook. Patti has training in respiratory care and is a certified foot care specialist. Originally from Toronto, Patti is planning soon to call Coboconk home.
Kylie practices family nursing at the Fenelon Medical Centre, having worked previously in the surgical unit at the hospital in Peterborough. Kylie has also worked at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Bobcaygeon and has clinical experience with children and new moms. Kylie holds a degree in community health from Brock and a nursing science from Trent University. She grew up in Fenelon and now lives in Bobcaygeon.
Almost everyone in Fenelon knows Carolyn. An experienced medical receptionist, Carolyn provides administrative support and patient care with our team’s nurse practitioner at the Fenelon Medical Centre. Carolyn has also worked as a team leader and laboratory manager and been a charge nurse at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Bobcaygeon.
Lindsay – 87 Adelaide Street North
Practicing in collaboration with Dr. Anderson, Dr. Hainer and Dr. Wilson.
Samantha practices as one of our team's two nurse practitioners in Lindsay. Sam has worked as a nurse practitioner for several years and brings a broad range of professional experience to patients and our team. She has worked with seniors, children and in public health and has been a clinical care manager. Samantha holds a nursing science degree from the University of Ottawa and a master's in advanced nursing from Athabasca University.
Linda practices family nursing in Lindsay, with experience in adult and elderly medical and critical care as well as pediatric intensive care. A Lindsay resident, Linda worked previously at Ross Memorial Hospital, where, in addition to nursing, she coordinated critical care clinical education. She also serves as a practice resource to our nursing staff and coordinates our team's compliance with Ministry and College requirements.
Laura comes to us with office administration experience with a chiropractor and most recently with the Kawartha North Family Health Team. Laura also has experience in retail. She has a diploma in medical administration and a certificate in hospital ward administration, which included medical terminology and transcription. Laura and her family live in Bobcaygeon.
Lindsay – 86 Angeline Street South
Practicing in collaboration with Dr. Bothwell, C. Jackson, Dr. R. Jackson and Dr. Ready.
Lesley practices family nursing in Lindsay, having previously worked extensively in the emergency departments at both the Peterborough and Haliburton hospitals. With a degree in nursing science from Queen's University, Lesley is certified in coronary care and has a specific interest in child birth care and community health promotion. She has also served in a teaching role in nursing. Lesley is originally from Haliburton.

Melissa sees patients as one of our team's nurse practitioners based in Lindsay. Melissa previously worked as a nurse in the emergency department and operating room at the Ross Memorial Hospital, with additional experience in coronary and long-term care. Hailing from Cameron and Bobcaygeon, Melissa did her nursing science degree at Trent and holds a master's in advanced nursing practice from Athabasca University.
Kim works as medical receptionist with our nurse practitioner, Melissa Campbell, at 55 Angeline Street in Lindsay, where she arranges appointments and patient care. Kim also assists with administration of our family health programs. She has worked previously as a medical receptionist with a nurse practitioner and has extensive experience – with both patients and in an administrative capacity – with the Victoria Order of Nurses (VON).
Elizabeth practices family nursing in collaboration with doctors in Lindsay. A registered nurse since 2004, Elizabeth brings to our team a variety of experience including in the areas of community nursing, long-term care, and geriatric medicine/rehabilitation therapy both in our area and in British Columbia. Elizabeth also has a depth of knowledge in wound care and IV therapy. She returns to the team from maternity leave at the end of 2012.
Lindsay – 65 Angeline Street North
Practicing in collaboration with Dr. Dafore, Dr. Petrosoniak, Dr. Young, and Dr. Ecob (198 Kent Street West).
Ashleigh completed her nursing degree through York University and comes to our team with significant previous experience in cardiac intensive care. She is also knowledgeable in the areas of diabetes care and a variety of heart conditions. Ashleigh is especially interested in the quality of health care at the community level.
Little Britain – 9 Arena Road (Arena Grounds)
Practicing in collaboration with Dr. Bothwell, C. Jackson, Dr. R. Jackson and Dr. Ready.
Stephanie provides for the primary care health care needs of patients in Little Britain and surrounding communities, including south Lindsay, Manila, Oakwood, Valentia and Woodville. Stephanie comes to our team from the Peterborough Family Health Team, before which she was a coordinator of the Multi Organ Transplant Unit at Toronto General Hospital. Stephanie has also worked in home care and is especially interested in the treatment of hepatitis. She lives on Lake Scugog.
A native of Lindsay, Dorothy has worked for many years as both a medical receptionist and registered practical nurse in our community. She books appointment and assists in arranging care for patients at our health facility in Little Britain. Dorothy is certified in medications and palliative care and has an interest in mental health work. Dorothy is well known to local patients and health care providers in our community.
Omemee – Omemee Medical Centre
Practicing in collaboration with Dr. Clay and Dr. Ludwig.
Leanne's family health team practice is located at our location at the Omemee Medical Centre. A mid-career professional with experience as an independent nurse practitioner in Lindsay, Peterborough, and Fenelon Falls, Leanne also has specialized knowledge in the areas of pain management, palliative care, child and maternal health and community care. Leanne was instrumental in developing the nurse practitioner program in the primary health care clinic at the Ross Memorial Hospital. She has been an active member of the Primary Care Working Group of the Local Health Integration Network and has coordinated education on nurse practitioner practice.
Summer works at our Team's location at the Omemee Medical Centre, where she arranges appointments and patient care with our Team's nurse practitioner there. Summer is a long-time resident of the Omemee area, with medical office experience and a diploma in medical terminology from Sir Sandford Fleming College.

Family Health Programs
Debbie is the coordinator of our team's many family health programs. Recently completing her nursing degree where she focused on community health programs, Debbie has many years of experience at the Ross Memorial Hospital including as team leader in the emergency department and administrative coordinator of the nursing division. Debbie’s special interest is health promotion. She and her family live in Lindsay.
A specialist in wound care, Roxanne also assists in delivering our team’s family health programs and leads the smoking cessation program. Now from the Janetville area, Roxanne has been with our family health team since its inception in January 201l. She comes to our team from Kapuskasing where she worked as an operating room and obstetrical/surgical nurse.
As our team's Registered Dietitian, Atheana helps patients assess their nutritional status and provides professional advice in order to maximize their health and best manage existing health problems. Atheana comes to our team with experience in various health care settings including: public health, a family health team, outpatient counseling, and hospitals. She holds a science degree from the University of Western Ontario and did her dietetic internship with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. Atheana is from just outside Lindsay and also leads our team's Healthy Lifestyle Coaching program.
Mike Cavanagh is a part-time clinical pharmacist with our team. A native of Omemee, Mike received his degree in pharmacy from the University of Toronto in 2006. He has practiced in Lindsay as a community pharmacist ever since. Mike is involved in the community as a volunteer with many local organization including Omemee where he lives and is active in the Ontario Pharmacists' Association. Mike has extensive experience in retail pharmacy. Mike is also very knowledgeable about providing pharmaceutical services in the Family Health Team setting.
Mental Health Team
As our team’s clinical psychologist, Dr. Sweitzer conducts psychological assessments and provides psychological treatment for adults for depression, anxiety, phobias, trauma, addictions, exploitation and abuse, relationship issues and bereavement. Dr. Sweitzer is also involved in our team's stress education and pain management programs. He comes to our team with 30 years of clinical experience, including 20 years as a social worker. Originally from the United States, Dr. Sweitzer now calls Lindsay home.
Having worked locally in the field of education for many years, Lisa comes to our team having conducted mental health assessment, treatment and service provision to adults and youth in community and hospital outpatient mental health settings in Haliburton, Minden, Cobourg and Lindsay. She has worked with children, youth and families, and with women of domestic violence. Lisa lives with her family in the Lindsay area.
Lorraine has worked in a variety of clinical counselling settings, including with the Peterborough Family Health Team and Sir Sandford Fleming College. A resident of Bobcaygeon, Lorraine brings more than 20 years of experience in psychotherapy with adolescents, adults and groups to our team. A trained mediator, Lorraine also provides information on community resources and social supports to patients.
As our team's occupational therapist, Tanya sees patients to help them maximize their health within their environments, include through assessing home and work safety, increasing mobility and promoting injury prevention. Tanya also works with seniors to remain in their homes for as long as they are able. Tanya has focused her career working in the community and has experience working in the auto sector and home care, assisting people of all ages return to their daily activities. Tanya is from Dunsford and comes to our team with a Master's degree in occupational therapy from Queen's University and an undergraduate degree in human kinetics.
Cindy sees patients for education on respiratory disease processes, drug and inhaler therapy, self-management and environmental controls. A graduate of Algonquin College, Cindy comes to our team with experience at several Toronto hospitals, including The Hospital for Sick Children. Cindy is active in asthma/COPD education and pulmonary function testing. She lives near Manilla.
Family Health Programs Administration
Heather is the administrator and medical receptionist for our team's family health programs. A native of Fenelon Falls, Heather comes to us with several years of experience as former medical receptionist at the Fenelon Medical Centre. Heather was a registered nurse by profession for many years. She and her family live in Fenelon Falls.

“Head Office” Administration – 55 Angeline Street – Lindsay
Known as “the keeper of knowledge” Jean is responsible for ensuring the many aspects of our team run smoothly, including day-to-day operations, administrative issues and assisting staff at our team’s eight locations in the community. Living in Lindsay, Jean has been an executive assistant both for the Chief of Police of the City of Kawartha Lakes and in the senior ranks of the private sector. Jean has also worked as Logistics Coordinator, Document Controller and Senior Operations Coordinator with national and international companies.
Debra has many years of experience as the Director of Finance of the largest not-for-profit organization in the City of Kawartha Lakes where she deals extensively with various levels of the Ontario government. She also has experience as an executive assistant and office manager in the private sector. A resident of Little Britain, Debra's passion lies in the administrative and financial management of the not-for-profit sector with accountability, sustainability and customer service being her primary focus.
Danielle is the Assistant to the Executive Director of our family health team. Danielle has been a district manager in the retail world and is a qualified personal support worker, having worked with seniors in long-term care. Danielle hails from Bobcaygeon.
A lawyer and social worker by profession, Mike has a decade of experience in program management with the federal government in Ottawa where he also worked in communications with the YMCA-YWCA and was involved in community health care advocacy and policy development. A native of Fenelon Falls, Mike has been involved with several health organizations in our area over the years.
